Ismael Iglesias usually creates projects based on the change of perception of space and its environment, with works that are at times complex representations composed of intermittent reflections of pairs and doubles.
For the exhibition, Ismael Iglesias proposed a video installation representing the reconstruction of an architectural space, based on an inverted photograph of a real urban space in the city (a car park) – this is contained in a playful of exertion of simulacra and mirroring, specific to a space constructed inside the main exhibition space. Through the use of such play of appearances between the real and its reflection, the applied strategy reveals an apparent symmetry to which representation is held.
